Eight suspects named in Ahmadiyah lynching

The police have named eight suspects in the lynching that killed three Ahmadiyah followers in Cikeusik, Banten in Feb. 6.
“The investigation has been underway since yesterday,” National Police spokesperson Sr. Comr. Boy Rafli Amar said on Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
Three people were arrested, and investigators were looking for sufficient evidence to arrest another five people, according to reports.
Police have used an video shot by Arif, an Ahmadiyah follower, to identify the suspects, Boy said.
The video, which has circulated widely on the Internet, shows an angry mob numbering in the hundreds watching while an Ahmadi was beaten to death.
“We are still pursuing [the suspects] because many have left the vicinity or their homes.”
