Ahmadi trader succumbs to bullet injuriesLAHORE: An Ahmadi trader, Mian Laeeq Ahmed, died on Friday after being shot on Thursday in Faisalabad, allegedly over religious intolerance. Unidentified assailants shot Laeeq while he was driving home, hitting him in the head and chest. Anjuman Ahmadiyya spokesman Saleemuddin said the accused had been ambushed when his car slowed down at a speed breaker. He said the assailants had fled after injuring Laeeq. He said Laeeq had been taken to District Headquarters Hospital Faisalabad but succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Laeeq is survived by his two sons and three daughters. staff report” he said.
